Detroit Garden Works has provided serious gardeners with a constantly evolving collection of fine garden containers, furnishings, accessories, ornament and sculpture for the past fifteen years. Established in 1996 by Deborah Silver to complement her thriving landscape design practice, she assembles each season’s collection with the help of store buyer and manager Rob Yedinak.
Named in 2004 one of the top 25 garden stores in America by Garden Design Magazine, we are equally as pleased to be included in The Garden 50: 50 favorite products, projects and places inspired by the world of gardening in the March 2011 issue of Martha Stewart Living Magazine.
Buying trips in the U.S. and abroad make for an exciting and provocative mix of unique and often handmade antique, vintage and contemporary garden ornament. This year’s collection features all things garden related from abroad, including vintage wine baskets, pots, pruners, glazed platters and sculpture. Containers in every conceivable material and form are a specialty. Garden furnishings in iron, stone, concrete, wood, lead, terra cotta and steel offer the discriminating gardener many choices of style and period. Whether it be a pot or an obelisk, a pergola or a pedestal, a gate or a fountain, or a crate of tulips, it’s our pleasure to help bring your garden to life.
Seasonally, we offer home accessories and décor from a gardener’s point of view, prints and ephemera, unusual and specimen container and landscape plants, topiary sculpture and seasonal and holiday décor.
As our inventory is constantly changing, do call or email should you have specific needs. We design and custom manufacture garden ornament in a variety of media.
